Low light night vision and thermal night vision


Low light level imaging technology, according to the agreement of domestic and foreign literature, is traditionally understood as the general term of vacuum photoelectron imaging technology. It takes photon photoelectron as the information carrier of the scene image, and based on the principles of external photoelectric effect, electron multiplication and electro-optic conversion of the device, it can capture, convert and enhance the image of the scene under weak light or other non visible light illumination in the night sky, Finally, the image is displayed as the visible image of the human eye; while in the infrared thermal imaging technology, the spatial distribution of the infrared radiation of the scene itself is used, and the infrared photons and photo generated carriers (electrons and holes) are used as the image information carriers of the scene, through the internal photoelectric effect (photoconductivity effect or photovoltage effect) of the infrared detector, the specific scanning readout and TV display principle, The object to be observed is reproduced as a visible light image. Low light level imaging and infrared thermal imaging are two supporting technologies of vehicle night vision instrument. They have their own characteristics, compete with each other and complement each other. Infrared thermal imaging instrument has long range, all-weather, strong anti camouflage ability, and is easy to realize the functions of long-range weapon precise guidance, target tracking and multi band multi spectrum detection. The two kinds of night vision equipment played a magical role in the Korean War in the first and second world wars and the Gulf War in the 1990s, which promoted the expansion and upgrading of night vision technology and equipment
